White Linen Abaya
From custom tailoring orders to payments and receipts
The need
The atelier’s orders lived in one Excel sheet, while photos, sizes and payments stayed scattered across WhatsApp and Instagram chats.
What was built
A system for a custom abaya business, comprising an Arabic and English order page and an administration dashboard. The page collects order details, abaya images, measurements and quantities, and handles discounts and delivery charges. The team tracks pricing, production and delivery statuses, deposits, payments and outstanding balances, together with each customer’s record and orders.
The system provides numbered receipts that can be printed and shared, a tailoring worksheet, and Excel import and export with an import preview. It is built with PHP and MySQL to suit these workflows and hosting requirements, and shows how a compact application can be designed around the details of a specific business.
